Sandy Root – Gratituder

Let’s create the reality we desire & live our truest potentials!

Hi! I’m Sandy Root.

I was born in Phoenix, AZ and soon after spent a brief time in St. Louis, MO, both before the time I could remember. So I consider myself mostly raised in Tampa, FL and New Jersey. I went to school at Rutgers. Not having any clue at the time what I wanted to do, I picked Psychology as my major, somewhat following in my father’s footsteps.

Right after college, I moved to NY, and that’s where I lived most of my life. Now, I live in Miami Beach, FL.

After college, I ended up waitressing and bartending for a few years, still lost in discovering what I wanted to “do”. After burning out on that, I worked 9-5 in offices for a few years, and it got to the point where I felt like my soul was being sucked out of me. Then, I really started the search for what I want to do. That quickly led me into school for acupuncture, and 4 years later, I had my Master’s in Traditional Oriental Medicine, and am currently in my 6th year of practicing.

There was a moment a couple years from graduating, after working at some holistic centers, that I decided to start my own practice. But soon after that, I hit a rock bottom point in my life. I was struggling to build my practice. I was renting my own apartment in Brooklyn, NY and didn’t know how I was going to pay my rent.

I considered the idea that I might have to move in with my mom. I had massive student loan debt and credit card debt used to sustain my cost of living during school.  I had to force myself to look at it, as the calls came in multiple times a day due to non-payment. I also at this time and for many years prior, used alcohol to deal with my issues.

One day, I felt like it all came crashing down on me. I knew in my heart that I create my reality. I created this, so I can create something different! That day, a friend coerced me go out and spend the day with her, and I’m glad she did. I decided to not think at all about my situation, but instead simply be grateful for everything I had at this point in my life.

I came home and some solutions to my challenges had already started to appear! I was overjoyed! I saw the power in how I could change my reality, that day, by being grateful for all the good in my life.

sandy root quoteSince then, my daily life is focused on myself getting better and better everyday. And with that, I now know how to work much better in myself with any challenges that come into my life. A big part of that is the Saturday Morning Mastermind.

I was excited to be a part of this not only to share all I’ve learned on my journey, but also to help others realize we can change anything, no matter how bad it may seem. On these hangouts, my hope is that something I share can make that difference for someone, to realize they’re not alone, and there are people out there who care.

I love being on! Every week I gain a new insight from someone on the panel or in the audience, and I always feel amazing afterwards!

Since that day of those challenges, I soon also became involved in network marketing/online marketing to supplement my income, and I am so grateful for that, because I was introduced to many people on the personal development path, including some from this community. If I didn’t have those challenges, would I have been on this path? Hmmm… So yes, always grateful for the challenges. Always on the ‘right’ path.

I love to dabble in many things; for now, my main focus is acupuncture. I’m also delving into the cryptocurrency/digital currency industry, and educating others about it: a plan B, a global currency with no fees, no debt. A truly exciting time in the world of currency!
