Hi, I’m Samantha and I’m here with one mission.

To help you.

My all time favorite quote is this…

The only thing you have that nobody else has is you. Your voice, your mind, your story your vision. So write, and draw, and build, and play, and dance, and live as only you can!
~Neil Gaiman

To me, this is the ultimate challenge and call to become the very best version of yourself. To live as only you can live. You are the only one who can find the path to your own bliss and you are the only one who can take the steps to make it happen.

However, I also know the path to your own bliss can be hidden in the abundance of minutia that fills up our busy lives. Sometimes finding your bliss seems like a pipe dream. One thing I’ve discovered though, if you take time regularly (even if only an hour a week) to work on your own personal development, you’ll be able to shift your priorities without guilt, find your bliss, and live a happier more fulfilled life.

The Art of Happiness

My journey to find my bliss started when I realized I wasn’t happy in my career as a pet stylist and salon owner. Even though I was very successful in that business, I wasn’t truly happy. I was good at what I did, but i wasn’t passionate about it. I’d been working in the industry for 17 years and I felt like something was missing from my life. I spent most of my time working and what little was left went toward caring for my children and helping my husband with his business.

There wasn’t anything left for ME-time and the time I spent with my family always seemed dedicated to chores.

The decision I made in March of 2007 changed my life forever. I decided I’d had enough. I didn’t want to spend all my time working my life away. So I quit. I sold my pet salon, vowed to never groom professionally again, and became a stay at home mom. At the time, we still had a successful trucking company and everything seemed to be working fine.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t see the future and what the future had in store for us wasn’t what I was expecting.

In 2008 the economy crashed, fuel prices went through the roof, and after series of major mechanical failures & not so great financial decisions, we ended up having to close our trucking company.

This devastating blow caused us to experience complete financial ruin. We lost our houses, filed bankruptcy, I had to give my car back to the bank, and our marriage nearly failed too. OUCH!

It was a dark time in my life. I’d lost faith in myself. I’d lost faith in my ability to support my family. And worst of all, I didn’t know what the heck I wanted to do.

5 Steps to pick yourself up when you’ve been knocked down in life

When our marriage was on the rocks, I turned to self help books. The one that was the key to saving my marriage was Zero Limits by Joe Vitale

This book changed my life. Not only did it help me save my marriage, it opened my eyes to the world of personal development.

I began reading everything I could get my hands on. Books on interpersonal communications, financial well-being, finding your purpose, law of attraction, living in the now, awakening the power within you, creating wealth, becoming enlightened, meditation, etc were just some of the titles and topics I explored…

I discovered I was passionate about these topics and I was determined to find a way to make this my life’s work.

I didn’t know how I was going to do it, but I knew someday I’d find a way.

samantha quote on success in the moment

Funny thing is, I found my way to where I am now through a series of completely unrelated home businesses.

On my journey to find financial security but still stay home with my family, I tried many types of income producing activities as well as different jobs. Driving a dump truck, being an office manager, MLM, online marketing, blogging, direct sales, online tutoring, creating digital courses, and building websites are a few of the things I’ve done.

One thing I discovered while working in some of these businesses, was the lack of confidence, perseverance, and peer support many people who were attempting to break out of the norm and follow their hearts, were experiencing.

I noticed thousands of people who desperately wanted to build a business they loved, but they had no one to support them, no one to talk to about the problems they were experience, and no one to guide them to know what areas of their lives they needed to work on in order to overcome the challenges that kept them from fulfilling their purpose.

By chance, I came across a community of people in the home business industry who were participating in a daily mindset and motivation conference call where they were studying the book Think and Grow Rich.

After listening to the call for a few months and hearing all the people who were participating and being helped by it, I had an inspiration to do something similar via video and google hangouts.

Saturday Morning Mastermind and Mindset Mastery Collective were born!

When I first started the SMM, I simply wanted to study, discuss, and mastermind about personal development books with like minded people. I wanted to connect with people who were also passionate about improving their lives from the inside out and I wanted to provide a neutral online community for home business entrepreneurs to discuss some of the issues they were facing and get help from their peers.

Over time, as more and more people began participating, I realized we were impacting far more people than I’d expected.

Suddenly the SMM became more than just a weekly mastermind and my life’s work was beginning to take shape!

Each week as I listened to the other participants and read the comments from people watching, I noticed how much their struggles, experiences, and successes had so much to teach the world. Even though we can learn alot from reading self help books created by the most popular teachers out there, we can learn even more when we see how people just like us apply the principles and overcome difficulties in life.

It was becoming apparent, that my life’s work would be to bring together people who could help each other. I knew there were tons of people who wanted to share their wisdom and the things they’ve learned in their lives. I could see them all over the internet making videos, writing blog posts, creating quote pictures, etc.  But most of them, even though they are passionate about their topic and have alot to teach, were struggling to get their message out to the masses.

I made a decision to become the connector and create an online community that would be the hub for everyone to connect, share their knowledge and experiences, learn, and grow together. It started with the Mindset Mastery Collective google plus community (now we’re on facebook), but I knew that ultimately it would be a community website where people could share their knowledge through articles, videos, masterminds, discussions, etc.

This site is the realization of that vision.

So jump in, add your thoughts, wisdom, knowledge, and experiences to the comment sections below any of the posts. And if you’d like to submit an article, video, or participate with us on the Saturday Morning Mastermind, connect with me and let me help you share your message so we can all work together to make the world a better place!

Thank you for working to become the best version of yourself, because ultimately every person you come in contact with will be positively influenced by your own personal growth and that is how you personally can change the world.

I look forward to connecting with you!

Samantha
